Spending times with family is the best time parents could ever get. Having holidays mean having fun times with the whole family. Parents are often planned family holiday far away from home in order to please their children. They drive miles away just to give their child experience they might have never got before. But problems may happen during the journey, especially in the long one. Children get too excited that they can hardly wait to be at the destination as soon as possible. They get bored during the trip and behave badly. Of course this is not what you want to happen, therefore I’m here to share you tips hoe to handle this kind of situation and not to let this happen. Here they are:

· Prepare the family

Before the trip starts, involve your kids in planning the journey. Show them in the map where are you going. Tell them what activities they can do there and the most important thing is how long the trip will take. Having little info about the destination may help children tolerate more.

· Travel at night

Sometimes before sleep time is the best time to start travelling. Having their day tired of playing around, children will be most likely to sleep after having their dinner. Set your car as comfortable as possible for them to take a rest. While they are sleeping, you can have your peaceful time of driving.

· Short hops with short stops

Younger children can’t stand hours of staying quietly in the car. Plan short stops during the day just to let them stretch their leg or going to toilet. The stops don’t need to be a long stop. Just a few minutes of taking a break may bring them back in the mood.

· Pack them happiness

It is a great idea to give your children their own bag of happiness. Fill their backpacks with their favorite toys and snacks. Get them some story books, papers and crayons. They would like to draw the boredom away. When they get bored, ask them to try the different toys available on their bag. Or they can also have their favorite snacks.

Having holiday with family really is an important time to have. By doing so, there would be chance to get to know each other better. Car travel with children may be a little hassle but not if you have already know the tips.
